Tammy Stone served as Synergy’s secretary between 2003 to 2011 after transitioning from East Hartford Middle School. Reflecting upon her eight years at Synergy, she raved about the fun experience she had particularly remembering the annual Thanksgiving Dinner, the school store, and trips to the Big E. Additionally, Tammy noted how all of Team Synergy collectively worked to create a welcoming environment. All staff members served as mentors. Whether they worked in the main office, like Tammy, or were in the classroom teaching, all staff made themselves available to counsel and support students. Throughout her Synergy tenure, hundreds of students found success eventually graduating and entering the world of work having used the guidance and the collaborative efforts of the Synergy Team.

Now, Tammy has brought her talents and the lessons learned at Synergy to East Hartford High School where she supports the school counseling office as the Secretary of Student Records. Before leaving, she shared the following bit of wisdom for current and future Synergy students, “To the students, do no squander this opportunity. Make the best of it; do what you can with it.  To the staff: the impacts you make with students will follow you. They will remember you even for the little things you think are insignificant.”
